When Melbourne gardener Jenni Woodruff won the H&G Garden of the Year Competition earlier this year, we awarded her a trip to see the famed Chelsea Flower Show, a prize she shared with her mother, Joan. Here, Jenni shares some moments from her trip of a lifetime.
The weather was unbelievable for us over in the UK. We had glorious sunshine for the entire time we were in London, which was the icing on the cake for our visit to the Chelsea Flower Show.
Chelsea was fabulous and exceeded my expectations, I had never seen anything like it before in scale and colour. Quite different to our own small garden show here in Melbourne. (The Royal Horseguards Hotel, where we stayed thanks for H&G was also fantastic, luxurious and in the most convenient location ever!).
When the H&G team asked me to blog about my three favourite things about Chelsea I only had to give it a moment’s thought. It wasn’t at all hard.
