The Directory of Australian Builders 2011 lists more than 2500 firms across Australia that do residential and commercial building. Intended more as an industry resource, it's pricey at $297, so if you stumble across one, take a peek. Buildersdirectory.net.au

Builder and tradespeople credentials

Make sure your builder, trade contractors, design professionals, kitchen and bathroom specialists, manufacturers and suppliers are members of the Housing Industry Association or Master Builders Australia. Ask to see proof. Happy renovating!
