There’s something so personal about giving handmade edible goodies as gifts. The time, effort and love that went into making them and packaging them is so appreciated and if they taste scrumptious, they’ll never be forgotten! This Christmas, don your apron, spend a few hours in the kitchen and whip up a batch of festive treats for your family and friends. And as an added touch, why not include the recipe in your packaging so they can enjoy them again and again (without you having to slave over them each time!). Here are a few of our favourites and cute ways to wrap them.

EDIBLE GIFT IDEAS
Gingerbread cookies
Chocolate rum balls
Apricot and pistachio slice

GIFT-WRAPPING IDEAS
* Wrap goodies in coloured tissue paper and stash in a Chinese noodle box. Finish with a pretty ribbon.
* Place treats in a brown paper lolly bag, fold over the top and use an old-fashioned wax seal to hold together and decorate.
* Use cake or tiny gift boxes, stuff with shredded paper and place goodies inside. A little paper flower (from craft stores) stuck on top completes the wrapping.
