Australian House & Garden recipe for Coloured toffees
INGREDIENTS
1⅓ cups (300g) caster sugar
100ml water
Food colouring
METHOD
1 Place sugar and water in a saucepan and heat over low heat for 5mins or until sugar dissolves. Increase heat to high and heat syrup until it reaches 150°C on a confectionery thermometer, about 10mins.
2 Add food colouring and pour into 12x well-greased 30ml capacity moulds. Allow to cool and set hard before turning out. Repeat using different colours.
3 Place 2 different coloured toffees together and wrap in clear cellophane, twisting at the ends to secure.
