I love the way beds are made in luxury hotels. How can I give my own bed a touch of class?

When making your bed, use ironed sheets and pillowcases and tuck sheets in using hospital corners. Smooth the quilt, it can be tucked in, too. For the luxe feel, go for sheets with a high thread count as well as a good-quality quilt. Incorporating a valance, an elasticised width of fabric that fits snugly onto the sides of the bed base, will give the bed a tailored look.
