Could you please give us advice on a colour scheme that has to include a black sofa and a red recliner? Also, where can I buy an old ottoman and have it re-covered?
Black and red are dynamic accent colours and I suggest you introduce ink blue into the mix. A good way to do this is by choosing rugs and cushions featuring geometric and abstract floral fabrics in this colour. Crisp white would make a great background colour as it would give a modern edge to the scheme. Alternatively, you could go for a warm stone colour, such as Dulux Sandy Day, or a soft grey, such as Wattyl Baby Seal or even Wattyl Summer Sky, which is a blue-grey colour. To find a pre-loved ottoman, look at online stores (eg eBay), or try op shops. Soft-furnishing specialists can usually organise upholstery.
