Real Living recipe for white wine sangria.
INGREDIENTS
2/3 cup Cointreau
¼ cup caster sugar
2 bottles dry white wine
½ Granny Smith apple, quartered, cored & sliced
Handful of freshly cut small pineapple chunks (skin removed)
Handful of freshly cut small watermelon wedges
Ice
Equipment
Sharp knife
Large mixing bowl
Whisk
Kitchen spoon
Serving jug or punchbowl
METHOD
Place Cointreau, sugar and wine into bowl. Whisk to dissolve sugar.
Add apple, pineapple and watermelon. Gently stir to combine. Refrigerate for at least 2 hrs to develop flavours.
Serve
Pour into serving jug or punchbowl and add ice. Enjoy!
Note
Makes 2L of sangria.
Tips
For a lighter version, simply add soda water to taste.
