Every couple stretched their nerves and resources to complete their kitchens and dining rooms.
If Rod and Tania were swimming in cash after their recent challenge wins the same could not be said for Polly: "They don't need money. I need money. I'm paying my tradies in fruit salad."
Keith and Josh clashed over the ongoing issues of Josh's plumbing under his kitchen. In the end it was all about respect for Keith: "I try to avoid Josh, but eventually I have to step in. It's my building site. Josh just doesn't respect me."
Jenna also had an opinion: "Respect goes both ways. Keith doesn't respect Josh so he's not going to respect Keith."
It was time for the tradesmen who did much of the work to pass judgement on their clients' designs. The couples had mixed feelings. "I don't care what the tradies think of our design," said Jenna. "If they don't like it, that's probably a good thing."
Rod also had his own ideas about their opinions: "Whenever the tradies have liked our designs the judges have hated it. If the tradies love your work it's like the kiss of death."
John McGrath and Neale Whitaker arrived to cast yet more critical eyes over the couples' efforts. Again the comments were both complimentary and critical. For the full assessment go to the individual rooms.
At his workshop Scotty revealed the combined scores for design and execution, and they knew who would take away $5000.
Jenna and Josh — 18/20 Polly and Waz — 15/20 Katrina and Amie — 17/20 Rod and Tania — 16/20
Another win for Jenna and Josh gives them the most room wins in Block history. Jenna was thrilled: "After last week's disaster we've redeemed ourselves."
