Brad and Lara had the largest space to work with — and one of the smallest budgets. Yet, despite the obvious difficulties in presenting a high-quality finished room, the couple succeeded in impressing the judges — and surprising themselves!
"We are stoked with the way it came together," Brad says.
"I didn't think it would turn out this good," Lara adds.
Despite the room's quality, they still ended up coming equal Chumps — something they're not entirely happy about.
"Sophie and Dale would have been Chumps if they hadn't used a bonus point. They would have come last and we would have been equal-second, which sounds better!" Brad laughs.
Bonus point drama aside, the couple is thrilled with how their room came together, and are particularly pleased that Brad's two tables, made from sourced timber, ended up looking so great. The judges loved them too.
"I can smell the table — it's beautifully made," Neil remarked at Room Reveal. "Custom made furniture — and all in a week!"
They also loved the couple's large, comfy sofa, sourced from Mezai, and the way the space was geared up for state-of-the-art TV viewing.
"These guys have gone for the technology angle this week. It's good that they have showcased what is available now," John McGrath remarked.
It all added up to a stunningly presented living space.
"I would live in here — it's got a very good feel," Shaynna says.
