They may not have come first, but Brad and Lara are still thrilled with the feedback they received from the judges this week.

"They really liked it," Lara explains. "The only thing they said was that our table was too small. But they loved the BBQ, with its pull-out esky drawer. They said our trees might be a bit sparse, but that will take time. Mostly it was really great."

With the biggest yard space, Brad and Lara's garden area was always going to make an impact. And right from the moment the judges stepped outside, they felt right at home.

"It's the garden with everything," Neale explained.

"You're going to have everyone want to come in and join your party! It's really great," Shaynna was quick to add.

Creating the ideal entertaining space was exactly what Brad and Lara had planned all along. They thought carefully about how the space might work with the flow of the house, to create that outdoor/indoor dining aesthetic. They even incorporated new technology so that lighting, sound and general ambiance can be controlled at the flick of a switch. It's a clever addition, and not lost on the judges.

"This couple are big on technology, which is good," Shaynna noted.
