Presented: Main bathroom and courtyards Score: 89/100 Prize: $8,000 off their reserve
They've made a name for themselves as The Block's most competitive contestants. But despite the fact they lost by only one point, Dani and Dan were thrilled Sophie and Dale ended up taking out the Challenge House win.
"We're wrapped," Dani says. "And we're really happy that they ended up winning. I loved Sophie and Dale's kid's room."
Going into last night's judging, the couple admit they were a little worried.
"We didn't know what they would think," Dan admits.
This week, Dani and Dan had a lot to prove — after all, the last time they revealed a bathroom, it wasn't exactly a success. Thankfully, this time around, they nailed it.
"It's cool. I love the tiles," Jenna exclaimed upon stepping inside their white bathroom, complete with mosaicked tiles.
The judges were even more effusive in their praise.
"This is the best bathroom I've seen in the whole Block," Neale said.
"And look — they have learned! Recessed cupboards! And look at all the storage. I think it's beautiful," Shaynna added.
Everyone was also impressed with their courtyards, and, in particular, how they flowed with the rest of the house.
"It really compliments the whites of the kitchen," Jenna said upon stepping outside.
"I love that they have picked up the green and orange," Josh added.
Considering the tensions with Brad and Lara and the boys that final week, this is high praise indeed.
"This is really good," Neale explained. "It really makes sense of everything. How cool is that art they put on the wall? It's the perfect choice. It's got that early sixties vibe going on.”
"Everything turned out really good," Dani says.
"It's been like a rollercoaster," Dan adds. "But I think I’ll miss it."
