One look at the faces of this year's Final Four says it all! We catch up with the contestants to find out what they think of their new homes. Something tells us they're running scared...
Mike and Andrew There was an extra special surprise waiting for Mike and Andrew behind door number 2. "Rubble!" laughs Andrew. "Our house was definitely the messiest. If you were breathing in, you'd get a massive headache. We probably shifted about half a tonne in the first 24 hours. We didn't get to sleep until 3am."
Dan and Dani Although they were both a little horrified by the state of their house, Dan says he was pleasantly surprised by his girlfriend's reaction. "Dani has been great," he explains. "She hasn't cracked it yet. Me? I've been carrying on like a pork chop!"
Dale and Sophie Dale and Sophie knew their house would be in a poor condition, but they had no idea just how bad it would be. "We opened the front door and there was just a trench!" Dale laughs. "No floor - nothing! So yeah, it's been slow and steady since then."
Brad and Lara As one of only two couples with renovating experience, Brad and Lara were more confident than others when they arrived at The Block. But it didn't last. "It was a big surprise for us when we got here and saw how run down they are," Lara admits. "When we first walked in and opened the door, I was like, 'What have we got ourselves into?' It was a shock seeing there was no back of the house!"
