Shelley Craft took to the stage at The Block LIVE this morning to interview our favourite frenemies, Dani and Lara, about all things The Block.
The first topic of conversation... What was running through their heads when they saw the state of the building site?
"I pretty much just wanted to slam the door, get in the car and go home," Lara said, reminiscing about the moment she stepped through the doors of House #3. "When I saw no floors, no back of the house, I thought it couldn't be done in ten weeks, but obviously, it got done!"
"Did you think they'd stashed a bedroom or a bathroom somewhere?" Shelley asked.
"Or a hotel?!" Lara joked.
It wasn't long before conversation turned to the boys, and just how their time on The Block had affected their relationships.
"Heaps of people have asked if Brad and I have grown stronger, but I don't know if we have," Lara said. "I mean, we've been together six years. We were pretty strong before we came on The Block."
But what about Dani and Dan? Their fiery relationship has certainly captivated viewers this year... Have they grown stronger, or been wedged apart?
"I thrive under pressure, which is probably not so great sometimes," she said. "But, you know, The Block tests you out and sometimes you turn into a crazy person, which I certainly did, but our relationship is definitely stronger.
"I think we've definitely seen each other at our worst. Absolute worst," she added. "Renovation definitely tests a relationship, I didn't know that renovating was one of the big reasons people break up before The Block, but I definitely believe it now."
During the panel, Shelley invited last year's contestants, Katrina and Amie onto the stage.
As the search begins for 2013's Block couples, the pair had some advice for interested applicants.
"Do it!" Katrina says. "You've got to have a pretty thick skin, though. You've got to be able to cop it from every angle and just continue on. But at the end, you’ll come out with a really positive experience."
The sisters even offered the crowd a hot tip... We might be seeing some familiar faces on the series next year.
"We've been laughing that our [Katrina and Amie's] husbands have actually said they'll audition for next year's series," Katrina said. "They are seriously saying they're going to do it, so we say, 'Just do it!' It'll be funny to watch them have a crack at it."
